Well, you really want to become an expert in new and hot technologies. So how do you do it?
5 simple rules are here, and if you follow them all, you’ll get your PhD in Web 2.0 Coolness in days…
- Learn all abbreviations, like AJAX, CSS, SOAP, Asynchronous and other cool web 2.0 words. Learn what they sound like, not necessarily what they mean. I don’t know what they mean, yet I write about them…
- Start a web Blog about them. In a few days you’ll have a bunch of addicts like me and You with comments all over, and in time, one of them will invite you to some IRC (another abbreviation, but not web 2.0… sorry) channel, where you’ll meet all bunch of happy experts in web 2.0 which know as much as you do about the subject in question.
- Start visiting web 2.0 sites constantly. It’s really a huge community network, much like the dating sites of the 90’s. I’m not going to tell you which they are, if you’ve finished rules 1 and 2, then you’ll already know…
- Leave comments on other people’s sites. It really just eats their bandwidth, but they shouldn’t be worried, especially if they’re experts like you and me, because they will use AJAX to reduce load on their web 2.0 pages, probably with simpler CSS, so they could earn some money…
- Start using all your previously learned abbreviations in you everyday talk: “I’ve tried to AJAX my page a bit, and all just ended with me trying to SOAP it up a little, by reducing CSS size. Did I tell you I’ve managed to asynchronously load just parts of CSS schema that I need?” - Just lovely, isn’t it???
You see, it’s easy. Now, go practise. Don’t waste your valuable time on this page. Go, Go, Go, but come back for updates…
